The Unitree A2, codenamed “Stellar Explorer,” is a robust industrial-grade quadruped robot designed by Unitree Robotics for demanding field operations and advanced research. Weighing 37kg (with batteries) and measuring 820×440×570mm, it features a 12-DOF leg configuration powered by high-torque motors (180N·m max joint torque), enabling agile movement up to 5m/s and navigation of 45° slopes and 30cm stairs. It carries a 25kg payload continuously or 100kg statically, suited for industrial inspection, logistics transport, and emergency rescue. Equipped with dual hot-swappable batteries, it delivers 5 hours of unloaded walking (20km) or 3 hours with payload (12.5km). Dual LiDARs and HD cameras provide 360° perception, while an 8-core CPU plus Intel i7 enable flexible development. Built with aluminum alloy and IP56 protection, the A2 operates reliably from -20°C to 55°C.
